Arrrgghh! More bills!

Dental bills are through the roof. Looking at an estimate of 6500 plus another 4000 for an implant.
Had new Will, Power of Attorney, etc. done. Established Trust in order to avoid probate. Lawyers don’t come cheap.
Purchased plots in cemetery for myself and the wife. Again, it was not cheap.
DD is now a doctor and paying most of her own bills. Thank goodness.
Trying to not spend money. Still saving. Retirement on the horizon.
The struggle continues!

    Ever notice how all these huge bills hit at once?

    At least you don't have to purchase additional cemetery plots...a one time expense. Good planning, though, on your part. After dealing with my mom's funeral -- she had a plot, but no stone or any plans, DH wanted both a plot and a stone in place for the survivor so that was one less thing to deal with.

    Good doing the planning ahead. Now that you have the trust, make sure that it is funded and that you re-title your property in the name of the trust. Sometimes people do the legal footwork to get the trust established but they don't take the next step of actually putting the assets in the trust, so that it ultimately does no good (except for the lawyer who created it).

    Congrats on getting DD off the payroll--being a doctor I'm sure that she'll do well.
